www.102ndbattalioncef.ca/ Ancre Heights is a WW1 Battle Honour that was awarded to the 102nd Infantry Battalion, Canadian Expeditionary Force, during the Battle of the Somme. 102 Battalion CEF was formed and trained in Comox, British Columbia before shipping straight out to France. It was mainly made of B.C. men from North of Victoria and Vancouver and were called the "North British Columbians". This is the only Military Unit from Comox Valley to ever do this.
