Welcome to London for the 1st CAV Rally. After a hiatus of three years we are all
able to get together in person to socialize and rekindle old friendships.
Accommodations have been arranged at Fanshawe College. They are at Merlin
House on the main campus. Information on booking and directions are on the 1st
CAV face book page. Prices are very reasonable. Those that haven't booked yet
please do so ASAP.
Directions to the college for those coming in on the 401 are; take the Highbury
Ave exit and turn left (north) at the light. Follow Highbury up to Oxford St. and
turn right at the light. Follow Oxford St. to Fanshawe College Blvd (second set of
lights) and turn left. The main entrance to the college will be on your left
(Community Gate). Once through the gate follow Campus Drive on your right to
Merlin House. Check in is through the main doors in front and parking is in the
lot.
It has been requested by campus security the bikes with kickstands have a
parking pad to avoid damage to the asphalt.
If we know when you are arriving we will have people to meet you and show you
around.
The meet and greet on the Friday will be at Carey's Bar and Grill located at 1596
Oxford St E., right across the street from the college. Those staying on campus
can walk so enjoy. Start time is flexible so arrive when you are ready. You can
either eat before arriving or order from the menu there.
Saturday morning breakfast will be served at Victory Legion at 0800. The cost is
$10 a head.
The Legion is located at 311 Oakland Ave.
Make your way out to Oxford St. and turn right to Highbury Ave. Turn left at the
lights and head to Florence St and turn right at the lights. Oakland Ave will just
be on your left and the Legion is right there.
Those that aren't attending the meeting at 0900 will be going on a ride along the
picturesque Lake Erie coast to Port Burwell to see HMCS Ojibwa. An information
session has been arranged and time permitting those that wish to book a tour
may do so.
Evening meal will be, again, at Carey's with entertainment at the Legion starting
around 1900. There is an Elvis impersonator there so you can sing along. Entry
is free but any and all donations go to our front line workers to show our
appreciation for their hard work during the pandemic.
Sunday morning departure breakfast will be at Jame's Place restaurant at 0900.
It is located at 1055 Clarke Rd which is just off Oxford street. From there
everyone can then make their own departure and safe travels.

Be advised that the quoted price is for the whole suite so the cost would be divided between all guests using that suite. Accommodations are similar to the Yukon lodge.
Friday 15 July 2022 Check in. Meet and Greet at Casey's Pub across the road from Fanshawe.
Saturday 16 July 2022 Breakfast at Victory Legion at 8 am
Breakfast consists of - Scrambled eggs, home fries, bacon, sausage, toast/jam, orange juice, coffee or tea. Breakfast will be $10.00
9 am - Presidents/ Vice Presidents meeting. The rest of us will do a ride
Supper at a local restaurant
6 pm Victory Legion(bar will open upstairs at 7 pm) there is an Elvis impersonator there that evening.
